Beginner Children’s Kung Fu Class (Ages 7-12)

Master Bao’s next ‘Beginner Children’s Kung Fu’ class (Ages 7-12) will begin on Thursday, October 14th, 2010.

In this class, Master Bao will be teaching ‘Shao Lin Xiao Chang Quan’.

Below is a video of Master Bao’s previous Children’s Kung Fu class performing this Kung Fu form at Lakeside Park in Nelson, British Columbia (BC), Canada.

This course introduces children to the Shao Lin martial art of Kung Fu. Students do not require any martial arts experience to join this course.

*In this course, there will not be any striking, kicking, blocking or ‘combat action’ with other students of any kind.

This course consists of 10 classes (10 weeks) and will be held on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00pm at Kootenais Finest Personal Training, located at 182 Baker St., across from the Best Western.

The cost of this course is $80. It will be an on-going course.

Drop-ins are welcome at $10/class.

**Students will also receive online videos which they can watch at home. These videos will include Kung Fu Warm Up exercises as well as the complete Kung Fu Form done slowly from front view and back view.

Hi thtere, I met you the other day at Kahlil’s birthday. My son Jack (6 years) is interested in the friday clss and perhaps also his 4 year old brother (who is very big and athletic for his age) Is there an age limit?

Thanks for your question.

The youngest student in the class right now is 5 years old. You are very welcome to bring your 4 year old to the class to try it out. All children are different, so age is not really the determining factor. More important is if he will enjoy the classes.

I am looking for a class for my 10 year old son, who is home schooled. I am interested myself as well, but most importantly want this for him. Will you please let me know what you have that either we can go to together, or what you have coming that he would be able to attend to learn?

Master Bao’s next Children’s Kung Fu classes will begin in January 2011. I have added your name to the list of interested students and will contact you in the New Year to update you on the new classes.

Hi Daniel,

I am currently taking Master Bao’s beginner Tai Qi class at the aquatic centre and I’m loving it. I’m looking for a way to get my son, Kylan (age 7) involved in Kung Fu as soon as possible. I see class has already started…can he still join or do we wait until January 2011?
